雷博士最感興趣的專業領域為醫學倫理和商業倫理，專事將基督教倫理價值應用於醫界和商界。他撰有六本倫理學相關著作，他現任南加州四家醫院的倫理議題顧問，也是「生物倫理和人類尊嚴中心」與「威爾伯福斯論壇」的會員。

家庭介紹

雷博士已婚，育有三個正值青春期的兒子，閒暇時喜愛指導孩子從事體育活動，並在一個兒子參加的搖滾樂團巡迴演出時奔幫他們管理道具。他們全家住在爾灣市，在「水手教會」聚會。
